Apparently Wood was poor again today. Dreading it if Wilson gets injured again this season, that's what I will say.
Any chance toon review could explain the financial fair play rules…l dont fully understand it tbh…teams like man u , chelsea, psg, man city seem to spend ridiculous amounts of money….are they still within ffp rules? I do understand tge basics of these rules ofc…justvwould be nice for a more in depth look into our ability to spebd in each tfer market off you guys thatvno far more than me about nufc 😁…l think alot of fans eould find a video on this comparing what we could spend compared to other clubs intetesting maybe?
great watchalong but its evident we need more power up front
Sadly same issue we have had for years…we NEED two strikers. Any team that wants to be in top 10 of premiereship needs 4 strikers to rotate …we have often had one…wilson and wood will nit cause many premiereship teams issues…we need two young fast strikers that can score…theres plenty of talented strikers out there…instead of looking at galacticos….lets just go and get two young promising fast strikers…lets take a chance on two..plenty out there playning at under 21 national level…nufc are desperate for strikers..and if you dont have wingers that can score then you should not play with one striker. In premiereship if you dont score in games you will be fighting in a relegation battle. Plenty of time to sort out transfers…but for me two young fast promising strikers would maje a difference taking attention off wilson or wood. Lascelles as captain bit if a shock move…but hey maybe eddie sees something in lascelles where he can get a lot more out of him. Personally trippier is the captain for me…but hey…we will see. I shocked we havent brought in some young youth strikers even..its the position we screaming out for. Without good strikers we are in big trouble with lots of frustrating gamew to come…but hey…l trust the new owners…l expect to strikers come in before trfer window shuts. Nufc is building up from the bottom of years of mike ashley. Lets not lose sight of the mammith task the new owners took on. They kept us up with clever signings…world class signings….now botman and pope…but apart from that…the whole structure of club is being rebuilt from bottom up…dont be frustrated ..its going to take a bit of time..this season l would be happy with a top ten finish…
This game just massively highlighted our need for attacking reinforcement’s, we pritty much dominated the whole game but looked toothless in the final third, we need two first team (starters), forward players like diaby paqueta, maybe not them two due to ffp constraints, but two quality forwards, the likes of jack Harrison etc… is not the answer, if we don’t sign some quality forward additions we will be absolutely no we’re near Europe next year, sorry to sound negative but it’s the truth.
We were so toothless up front today. Need a serious striker as another option. Something different to what we already have
1:17:31 0-1 Mainz
Who Bought Woods now capt another dud Howe better be careful all english coaches useless
terrible from start to finish this shows we need to defo get paqueta and diaby and striker WOOD waste of a place on the pitch maybe this is awake up call we needed !
Nothing knew learnt . We still badly need two more attacking options with creativity and goals in them . Not squad players either , but starters.
Positives, we dominated the ball against a team in their final pre-season game. We should have won the game at a canter. Elliot Anderson was excellent. Negatives, the final third we are awful, there is no creativity at all if there and of there was ever any evidence of what we are lacking this game is it. If Wood is our insurance to Wilson's inevitable injury then we are screwed, nothing sticks when it goes up to him, he treats the ball like a hot potato and has no idea where the goal is. Paqueta, Diaby and Gouiri would fix a hell of a lot of our problems.
I thought they was a horrible dirty team nd the better team lost. But anyway never mind lots of positives to take from the game. Onwards and upwards hwtl
Not too bad, unlucky result but a good work out. I remember when you slagged of big Joe and Kraft last season etc. and look how Eddie turned them around. Give them a chance you never known Wood may just make you eat your words, AGAIN
Thanks Paul for watchalong
Lack any attacking threat Murphy and ritchie lascelles fucking useless sorry all had there time rubbish and Saint max looks like running in quick sand
Lack of attacking quality/prowess is a real worry.
