We should be looking at young championship players who have loads of potential instead of wasting time trying to get players who do not want to come and with valuations our club do not want to match.
Not trying to be negative but 2 signings 20 days into the transfer window is poor for any team never mind the richest club on the planet fighting relegation, obviously we’ll have no signings for the Leeds game, again probably sound negative but that’s another 3 points dropped. They’re in good form and we can’t even beat teams in bad form so yeah. I Can see Newcastle making 1 more signing this transfer window if we’re lucky, we need a minimum of 4.

Even if we had some re-enforcements in for the Leeds game, there is still a chance that we go there and get beat. New players might not have settled in as yet and with Leeds, you never know how they’re gonna play and may have just blown us away anyway. So I’m not too concerned that no players have came in before this Leeds game. I just want the few targets that we’re close with either done or get done in the early part of next week, link up with the squad during their Saudi break, train with the team and the second half of the season starts after the break in my opinion. Cos that’s the squad we would have and it’s up to the players then. If they still can’t get results 3/5 games after that break and still don’t look like they’re bothered then they deserve to go down imo.
