This one took me off guard. Maddison is a top quality player and has proven he can do it in the prem. Paqueta is a more sexy signing since he’s a Brazilian but could take him awhile to adjust. Maddison would hit the ground running and will be thirsty to try get himself into that Qatar Squad

This Maddison thing came out of nowhere. I would rather have Paqueta. I understand that Maddison is proven in the prem and only 25 so he has plenty of years ahead of him. But I'm fully behind Howe and if Maddison is at the top of his list then it's fine by me. 60 Mill would probs do it. I hear Maddison wants the move and was intrigued by Newcastle. I'd prefer Paqueta for Tottenham because he's stronger, taller and covers more ground. He got 19 goal contributions last year for Lyon. in 77 games he has scored 21 goals and 13 assists. That's 34 goal contributions in 77 games almost a goal every 3 games. For 40 million I'd snap him up like that.
12 goals and 8 assists he got in the PL. Maddison is unreal and if you guys get him top 4 is guaranteed. I'm thinking you lack a proper striker.

James Maddison(25years, 175cm), scored 12 goals, from 35 appearances 2021/2022, like most England -born players, the price must be very expensive €50-€60m, ok he's not bad, but his goals are mostly due to chaos in the box penalties, not the result of a combination of dribbles from outside the penalty box, this is like Cristiano Ronaldo who just camps in front of the opponent's goalkeeper and stays on tape in , the ball goes in, so I'm not impressed with Maddison #sorry…maybe the price is €25-30m still forgiven, and again later if the 3-5 year contract is already 28-30 years old the price has dropped really, unless he continues to hone himself and become a superstar, then the price can stay the same € 50m, so this investment is not very profitable for clubs. It's different if you buy strikers aged 18-24 years(Broja 20years, Isak 22year, Sesko 18 years,Osimhen 23 years, sulemano 22years, de Tomas 27 years but goal 18 goals , , this is just a great investment, can be sold expensively when you are 24 years old. .
