We need a Steven Peinaar, Timmy Cahil, etc. We cannot rely on DCL. It's very serious and we really need our club to wake up. Why is it the initial new players are great the first couple of games, then they slip into the same mode of the ones we got rid of?

  2. Gerard monaghan

gana & gordon need 2 b replaced by garner & maupay. I don't know wat has happened 2 gana,he has been terrible lately & as 4 gordon he is awful, please sell if chelsea is still interested in Jan.

  3. True Colours

I noticed the toffee tv boys don't talk about technical abilities of our players, we need players that can do the basics and we still haven't got that all around the pitch. You watch every time the ball comes into Gordon or DCL they always lose it in tight positions even when they are playing "well".
A FIT DCL is average at best and Gordon is a joke if that is what people class as a topflight footballer..the guy can't even run with the ball without kicking it out of play, he reminds of Sunday team players who just run around but have no real quality. Anyone with an ounce of knowledge about football can see that he is not a good player at all!!

  4. David Ragen

Our football play is half decent but in the last third, good footballers is not enough, a world class striker all ready knows what to do b4 he even goes on the pitch unfortunately we don't av this, our board still hasn't replaced the goals from Lukaku James sigurdson and Richarlison. The board is a joke 😛

  5. True Colours

This is what happens when you have subpar players, Coleman, Myko, Gordon (awful awful player shouldn't be anywhere near this level being saying this from last season), DCL is also crap im sorry to say and i have said this for two seasons technically he is dreadful, his first touch is that bad his second is a tackle…yes he was unfit but you don't lose technique if you had it in the first place.
I feel like we have accepted mediocrity as people get blinded by the few good things.

  6. Mark Jones

We need to bring back SIMMS and DOBBIN in Jan, get rid of Maupay and Mc Neal. The midfield are more interested in going down than creating chances. We ARE in a relegation battle.

  7. MlW95

Our wingers especially Gray has a tendency to slow the game down every time he gets it. He will stop the ball ot do a step over then look for the pass nothing is fluid or quick. This gives the other teams time to get set and when we don’t have fullbacks overlapping we have no options.

  8. NATTYCO

Our forwards are pathetic. Not one shot on target in 180 minutes of football and only one in 270 minutes. Newcastle never had to work hard as we constantly and sloppily misplaced passes and lost possession without any tactical ability. We could well be in or around the relegation zone in a couple of weeks time, and that's about our level the way we are playing at the moment.

  9. tone clear

Iwobi in the middle, box to box up and down up and down, onana gueye sat just behind to protect defence, then follow iwobi and support him and feed wings when going forwards… Up front, stick gray on right and put Gordon in a taxi to Chelsea with a note saying 100g ? Here's your taxi fare though! , get some of those other squad members in, some of them under 21s look good…c,mon Everton 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙 9 points gotta get next 3 games

  10. Frequently Asked

Tom Cannon and Kyle John in for the weekend. If these 2 lads aren't better than Coleman and Maupay they should not be at the club 💯..BTW now we know why Gray cost a million quid..Bunch of shithouses the lot of them they go down like the Titanic..Lampard / Thelwell not the answer .Gordon must Go in January probably only worth 25 million now though.Should of sold him in the summer when stock was high..

Really hope we try something different in the next few games. We are way too predictable and we're asking Gray and Gordon to do too much. (both lack confidence and composure in final third) 4-3-1-2 With Garner or Doucoure in the 3 and Iwobi as a 10 off Maupay and Dom. We'd get more joy playing through the middle and getting knock downs off Dom.

  12. Geordie Toon for life.

I’ve seen Everton 3 times this season and yes I can see what your trying to do and I agree it’s to keep you in games which to be fair is working but I’d rather see you at the start of games attack teams and when you get the lead then change back to how your playing now if need be.

Everton have some good players do you think seems DCL Is now back ( yes not fully fit yet) Everton could play 4-4-2 against Crystal Palace the big man little man combination 🤷‍♂️ you have decent/ good wide players so instead of playing inverted wingers get them on there stronger foot beat there man and cross the ball for DCL as he is excellent in the air and even if the ball drops in the box you have Maupay around the same area and maybe Iwobi on the edge of the box for the loose ball coming out.

It’s just a thought because of the struggles upfront and let’s see Everton have a go at teams from the start because you do have a solid back line and it takes pressure off the full backs trying to get forward as much, once they change there style and confidence comes from playing that way especially at home then you’ll definitely get more wins and play a more attractive style of football which your fans want and deserve.
Good luck for the rest of the season. 👍 great channel you have keep up the good work lads. 👏👏👏

  13. swankey2006

We had a few chances to shoot them passed back as you said. I thought grey should of had a shot instead of passing to Gordon and maupay could of passed to the wing and went straight into 2 defenders

  14. chrisoconnell32

I think Iwobis contribution has been way over rated, but Gordon deserves to be left out before Iwobi, he's a shadow of the battling, brave prospect he appeared to be at the moment, Garner has to start in midfield now surely?, He's the only one who looks confident and creative with the ball going forward! move Iwobi into Gordon's position on the right?

  15. Graham Blue

The formation is the first thing to change, it just isn't working it's bleeding obvious then fit players into it and take out the underperforming players so Gordon, Gray and Onana out and play Garner, Doucoure and Maupay, got 2 up, we're at home and not creating anything

MY three talking points on Newcastle v Everton 1.. Blah. 2.. Blah. 3.. Blah. apart from the Moyes era, 30 odd
years of nothing, thankyou Mr. Kenwright. Sorry for the negative start but it is the same every year, a couple of good
wins and then we look forward to the Transfer window followed by our usual scramble to stay in the league, if this
was a Bank or a top Company the Chairman would have been out the door Pronto! even sooner.

Can’t see us turning up for Palace – I think 3-0 to them –
Lampard has no idea with his pattern of play –
    We’re to light weight-
We need players with grunt- not stunt –
Pass back even if we’re up near their box – play is awful – Gordon rubbish- relegation fight already !!

  18. John Clarke

Not a very inspiring away performance, we should have been targeting the enormous tally of two points from our last three games. Draws against United and Newcastle but we lost all three games and now as we are all aware, the Palace home game takes on huge significance and we just cannot lose it, so the pressure builds and builds. Where is the sports psychologist, do we have one? Are the supporters the only people who discuss the lack of shots on target. What happens in training, are speculative shots from outside the box not encouraged, are the players told not to take a shot? Uniteds second goal against Spurs was a huge deflection and the goalkeeper didn't bother even moving, when was the last time we took a whack at the ball in a crowded penalty area? I'm aware football has progressed and become more sophisticated in terms of tactics etc but bloody hell, if you don't try, you won't score. Our next four games before the World Cup break are very winnable and we must target ten points at the very least.

  19. Gavin Cunningham

1…How is Coleman still under contract..
2… Why didn't Simms get given more chances after he played so well against Arsenal last Season..Hes better than Rondon or Maupay..Dom this Dom that he's scored like 2 goals in his last 20 games before his injury
3…Do we really need 3 centre mids playing every game why not put Iwobi back out wide and give garner a game

I think the tide is starting to turn against Frank in terms of the fanbase. I like Frank, but it seems apparent to me that there is no Plan B in games whatsoever. I think he has some sort of mental block in figuring out how to win games. I hated Benitez BUT after 11 games last season we had 15 points, now we have 10. In my opinion, we are now in the same scenario/position as last season where we will be under great pressure as each game comes. Palace at the weekend now is a MUST WIN game, simple as that, nothing else will do. It's all very well to rely on the January window…but will we do the correct business? I think not. I think Frank has galvanised and focused the club, but now that honeymoon period is over. I don't want him to be sacked because I believe he can turn things around given time, but sadly we don't have the time. I think we are heading towards relegation again, with a bullet. I don't see Frank lasting until the World Cup break if this continues. What's the solution? God knows? Frank was a great player, and he did a great job at Chelsea with the kids before he had his blip, and he almost got Derby up prior to that, but Everton are a Herculean task for a Rookie manager, because the majority of our players are simply second class i.e. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

  21. Paul NSNO7

Point 1. The attacking threat/plan is down to the players to execute!
Richarlison had a good end to last season, prior though, frustrating!
    Point 2. Harsh on McNeill!
    Point 3. Garner looks good!
point 4. I back Frank Lampard, and his staff! They have had to turn Jelly into Steel and then they will still have to mold that team, like clay into a solid unit and they also have the ability to improve players!
January 31st 2022 to 20th October 2022! It took Eddie Howe 3 months from November to February (with the help of "covid") to turn it around!

  22. Tim Fahy

Playing Garner in a 5 across the middle wouldn’t be bad shout – is it me or does Onana seem to stroll through games ?🤨. No urgency!! Frank gas gotta get Dwight practicing his crosses – come on Dom – let’s have a couple v palace – UTFT !!💙

  23. Hans Fyhrqvist

You were spot on with your points Baz.
I thought Calvert-Lewin did alright and we could see that we need him up front. With his aerial ability and full match fitness he will be a threat and will get us some goals.
From our wingers (starting or coming on from the bench), in my opinion Gray was quite good.
And in the next game we probably should rest Iwobi and start with Garner alongside Gana and Onana in our midfield.

  24. Al Clarke

Everyone seems to be missing the fundamental issue Everton has. Everton has better midfielders on the bench than wingers on the pitch. Why not play 442 or 451? Personally I would play 2 CDM and 2 CAM. Calvert Lewin did excellent in a 442. Understand Myko is not Dingue so he cannot play like him. Poor use of subs, why kept Gordon on with a yellow card, got away with not getting a 2nd one.

  25. Phil East

when you have a striker like Dom it's essential that you can feed him with accurate aerial passes, 2 of them in the squad in garner and McNeil so at least 1 of them has to start. when both full backs and the defensive midfielder give you absolutely nothing going forward you will always struggle to get goals.

  26. Carl H

Totally agree with the need for taking more shots. Just don’t understand what happens with some professional footballers. Playing as a kid you would shoot on sight of goal. You would think you would get better at that as a professional. But it only seems that this is coached out of them. Get a shot on target. If it doesn’t go in then make the keeper make a save. Be prepared for following up. Always thought football is simple. But I think we like to make it difficult for ourselves! Come on Frank, you were a goal scorer.
