Top 6-8 would be nice. Just after some improvement on table position for now. Gradually building a team good enough to play in Europe and cups. I don't think they should rush it tbh. Concentrate on the smaller things. League cup,far cup, try and get into the lower end Europe cups. Build towards league and CL in a few years. I do feel like trying to do so too quick is a waste of money and energy. Pep and klopp are going nowhere ATM and no one gonna dethrone them so why bother. Okay the long game. Gradually improving the team. Maybe even winning a cup along the way. We don't want to raise the bar too high, too soon. Not until they've had enough time to build a full team and that's not easy or quick. League don't allow it. Days of blowing 300m in a season are gone. Team just not ready for it. Need a full team and good set of back ups.

Stop man .. nee one wants Jose
    Eddie's black and white army
And the fella had it bang on , we want to grow organically , enjoy the ride and watch the team built brick by brick
If that's a meticulous process it will take time .. nee toon fans that I know are being unrealistic in their expectations
    ??????????

Arsenal's run from the start of the season until the close of week 20 when they were sitting 4th (W12, D2, L6)
Newcastle's run starting week 20 until the end of the season (W12, D2, L5)

A positive start for 22/23 will probably have fans disappointed with anything lower than 5th by the end of the season – They'd be insane to sack Howe though.

I was talking 5 to 10 years when we first got took over, now I think that’s pessimistic the improvement we’ve shown there’s no reason we can’t have grand targets. Now mbappe has signed for 3 years toward the end of that contract we might be able to realistically begin to attract players of a similar calibre. Bruno as everyone has noticed though is already a huge move in the right direction.

I think Eddie Howe could be a Alex Ferguson for the toon. Why would we want to change manager when he has been the perfect man for us since taking over. In eddy we trust.

Hopefully top 10 and a cup run. Then a top 8 and a cup run. Then Hopefully a top 6 and a cup run. The top 6 and Europe. Then top 5. Then top 5. Then top 5. Then top 4. Then a trophy. Fingers crossed

I think we are 3rd this year behind Liverpool and Man City…35 points..Arsenal were 4th with 35 points in 1st half of season…we need to get the right players in for the team and get rid of several squad players…Man U need total rebuild which will be problematic…Spurs need to spend money which they are always reluctant to do….Arsenal need more players…….its not impossible to go for 4th place next season and im sure I read we may get a 5th CL place under reforms top CL…..we need 2 strikers 2 central defenders left back…prob Targer made permanent…Henderson on loan as GK….Paquetta and another midfielder…thats like about 7 in and 7 out

I think Newcastle are going to donut very sensibly. There owners are incredibly powerful and successful in all the companies they own. I think they will add 3 or 4 top players this summer like Bruno and Trippier are which would probably get them into top 10 next year then they will do the same again the year after and it's then they will start challenging for Europe.

A few good additions thats enough as this current crop of players have a great togetherness and work ethic.mark my word none will look forward to playing newcastle next season especially at st jameses with that crowd, like playing v 12 men.top 4 for newcastle next season this club is bouncing and is on the move in the right direction.

Newcastle need to the patients I do think the fans know that hope the owners see thst city did it but the biggest signing were not massive bit turn into that like kompany Hart Silva good loyal players and aguero true professionals that what he needs.

Best to fly under the radar quietly doing your job . The top four will look a little different at the end of next season. No Arsenal, Chelsea,, Tottenham. You will not see the likes of City and Liverpool running away with the league so easy top four will be closer .

Look…….we want to perform every game and feel like we did on Monday, even if we were beaten after that performance the fans still would have gone nuts. Qualification for any European league can just happen, if we perform, great entertainment, give 100% week in week out then us Geordies will be happy just as we have been since the take over.

This is what happens the media start banging on about top 4 way too soon Newcastle fans are saying no it’s too soon yet we are the ones that get slated as deluded with unreal expectations.

As long as we have no relegation worries whatsoever I don’t mind where we finish this season. This is going to be a slow rebuild we shouldn’t expect too much. It’s nice to dream but let’s be realistic

Agree with many of the comments here, NUFC fan for decades, remember Keegan's revolution as a marvelous party we picked up the tab for a very long time afterwards. Many false dawns, so for all the money and highlights this session, you will still find Newcastle fans a little cautious. There is a palpable optimism though, that I share, that we could be on the verge of something brighter, something better. There's no "middle rump" anymore. The likes of Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Brighton all have dynamic, forward looking management with eye-catching talent on the pitch; glad to say Newcastle clearly adds to their number. I celebrated when they announced Eddie Howe as manager (of course I would say that now) I knew this to be a potentially clever move, and so it proved. He appears to be one of those coaches that improves individual players, and definitely as he has our team! If we continue with this sense of belief and conviction in our attacking style of football whilst continuing to improve our defense (I can't tell you how much by!) then ….why not? Onwards and upwards.

NUFC does need to be recognized as a better team, and when things like this happen it needs to be seen as how good they are and not how bad the other team played. Arsenal is considered media darlings with the youth and all that. Maybe, just maybe this was not a fluke. And Newcastle is just really good at home.
