Love the way he carried himself in the interview I feel we made a great signing ????
Newcastle started building for next season's championship push
Also the Red-Card-Cookie Monster Jonjo will split the lines and stages brilliantly for Wood’s to ride the offside line like a water banana ride… up until he gets sent off because blowing & growing grass looked at him wrong so he must take down by the roots!!
Duh me…! I just realised our two new signings played together for the Eddie-da Gaffa-Howe before; nothing but positives all round playing, recruitment, experience, minimal injures; played every leagues aka match fit, etc etc. list is as long as all the arms in St James
Seems a real likeable, nice guy. Wish u all the best at newcastle, n I'm sure ull keep the toon up ?
Hes delighted for money lol
I bet Burnley can't believe their luck! He's pretty good,but £25m? Please!!!! ?
Mbappe? No……we are signing Chris Wood LOL
He sounds like the business. Might be eating my own words in couple weeks. Hopefully i am. Want Castle stay up
“Delighted” tell that to your face on the thumbnail mate ?
Wait, Newcastle paid £25m for 30 year old Chris Wood?
all the money in the world and they signed Chris Wood? LOL
Talk sport being the ass of ask questions. Don’t blame them for the questions but the negative spin they put on this club just for the ratings is obvious. Especially Gabby the plank.
Absolute professional, reliable hardworking striker that delivers
Everything he says makes sense, a bright man and a good player !!!!!
"Buckle up buckaroos"
They could've put 5 million more and get a bigger better Forward, they deserved to drop out of the league with deals like this
Wood brings what Andy Carroll used to bring but will really get stuck in and work tirelessly. Geordies will love him
They should apply the same strategy and activate the release clauses of key players of rival clubs, Sarr is a no-brainer, they will become a massive threat with both Sarr and SM upfront and this Burnley guy. Other positions should come as loans.
All this money, let's buy good players, let's buy Wood from relegation team Burnley ahahahahahahah
He sounded like harry kane
As a Burnley fan Chris Wood has had an excellent 4 or so years with us but this season just hasn't been up to scratch.
I just hope this sale can work in our favour if our owners are willing to reinvest this money (which I'm not at all certain they will).
All the best Woody top man ?
25million quid hahahahahha he’s worth no more than 5mil
Newcastle's midfield is that awful they've decided to miss them out entirely and go long ball to Wood for the rest of the season.
English Journalists are terrible. Always trying to catch players out in the interviews. The question about his age and transfer fee and drama with Burnley when there was none. How are you really supposed to answer these kind of questions. Embarassing
Great footballer….lowlife human being.
"How did you know this was the right decision for you?" Mmm… I looked at what they would pay me.
It was the club he dreamt as a young lad and he wishes to play in the championship.. eh sorry I meant in the champions league one day ?
What a massive signing, only 25 mill, he will save the Jardies…….my arse ?
He doesn't have much left of his NZ accent. When you add Geordie to the mix, it's going to be an interesting sound.
I believe its a good signing in our situation. Br if we don't replace the key stones cops at centre back and get lascelles off the juice then it's irrelevant surely …
Toon toon black n white army toon toon black n white army ⚫⚪⚫⚪????⚽??
Seriously, what is the reaction from Burnley fans??? Genuinely curious. Obviously a MONEY move. Who joins a team worse than the one he's leaving when a relegation scrap is imminent??? A heel for leaving Burnley at this moment. A mercenary for grabbing MBS's dirty money. Wood can't be too worried about his rep. haha
Wilson is good but he's like ousmane dembele always injured however Chris wood is a good signing HOWAY THE LADS ⚽⚽⚽????⚫⚫⚫⚪⚫⚫⚪⚫⚪⚪⚪⚫??
Chris sounds like a really sensible bloke. I really hope he does the business on the pitch and becomes a local hero. Good luck Chris HWTL Toon Toon
Welcome Mbappe!! HAHAHAHHA SMALL CLUB
We needed a striker. Eddie said he wanted PL experience. I like a few of the younger players we are linked with like the French 19 year old..he looks exiting and has scored goals…we need goal scorers as well as defenders…Wood has hit double figures every full season..we cant ask for more than that as 1st attacking player signed…in time for Watford too..Haaland can wait till next week lol
Just go out and score some goals. You are a late bloomer
Why you think he moved from one relegation rival to another? Such a silly question ???
Who wouldn't want to triple thier wages?
Chris wood will be quite a good player for newcastle i think he was good for burnley and played for leeds i think he can help newcastle stay up this season
great to see both parties are looking for greatness ?
Welcome to the Toon??
Very sensible signing imo. About 10 mil too much but hey, they can afford it. He'll link up well with ASM
Signing a solid 30 year old striker could be what Newcastle need just to stay in the EPL. If they stay up and consolidate, Woods will be 32, 33 and at a stage where he will be replaced by a higher level of player, but he will have done his job.
Lol.
eddie howe devious hope he gets sack
This is awesome
Now who’s next? We can’t admire the work we’re doing. We have to keep signing these kind of players if we want any chance of staying up.
Welcome to Newcastle Chris wood and can't wait to see you bang in those most needed goals this season.
